Here is a visual representation of art portfolio with only elements of design.

As every art student is different (with individual strengths, experiences, passions and ideas) every art school has different requirements and expectations.

Students must create original drawings and paintings and sketches.
Insert  thumbnails of your drawings and sketches alongside with the finished logo, poster, invitation designs.

Thumbnails and rough sketches alongside the finished designs gives an insight of the thought process of the designer. Which then becomes a plus point.

Insert drawings and design in as many media one is comfortable to use. ( paints, crayons, charcoals, acrylic, digital work ).

This gives an overall impression that the designer is versatile.

Please do not copy directly from another artist, or include such things as anime, tattoo designs, dragons, unicorns, portraits of celebrities.

Conclusion : An art portfolio showcases the skill developed by the student. It shows the originality and uniqueness of the person.
