Synonym of the word  Muse: Consider, meditate, ponder, examine.... Every individual is an artist. Everyone creates and shines in a different and unique ways.  One must know the methods to bring out their ideas and represent them in 2 D or in 3D way. Here is shapes activity you can do in a classroom if you are a teacher, or at home as a DIY.



These activity will help one learn to draw, identify shapes, create new designs.

1. Paper face making

This is a paper art work where one can cut out different coloured paper faces different shapes of eyes, nose, lips hair etc.... Then on a slip of paper write down different feelings. So in a group, this could be a classroom activity, icebreaker game, partygame, word expression game.

2. Shapes puzzle activity

This activity is a DIY Game. This can be used as a school learning activity to learn colours and shapes. 
Step1. On an A4 sheet draw simple shapes of circles, triangles and squares. 
Step2. Make two sets of this page.
Step3. Colour both the sets similarly in primary colours.
Step4. Keep aside one set. Cut the other set into small cards.
Step 5. Shuffle the cut pieces of shapes and randomly pick 3 pieces .
Step 6. Now on the full coloured sheet of shapes match  the 3 cards that you have  chosen as quickly as possible.
Note you can keep an timer to see how quickly visually each person will identify the shapes.

3.  Drawing pictures using the shape square.

In this work or activity you pick up a shape from assorted paper shapes cutouts. We are emphasising on square shape here.

Start drawing as many things you can see in a room with square shapes.  


Squares

This will develop observation skill. 

Colour the picture.




Give a time limit of 2 minutes, 5 minutes choice is yours and see how many  pictures one can draw.

4.  Create designs using shapes.
 Cut coloured paper in assorted shapes of triangle, square, circle.




Using these shapes  create a simple collage design.
